The I.T Department is a prestigious department of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, Lahore. The Department is responsible for the day-to-day operational support of Shaikh Zayed Health Management Information System (SZHMIS), Develop/ design procure/ of application software packages in line with authorized policy decisions, implements these packages in conjunction with I.T Staff / vendor personnel, trains organization users and develops system interfaces to link various packages into a consistent whole.

Services

Operations Support

• Manages and maintains the hardware and networking infrastructure of the Complex
• Operates a help desk on which users requests for assistance are tracked and processed
• Provides day-to-day support with the routine running of the SZHMIS Software in the Hospital
• Supports the hardware and software which is in use within the organization

Computer/ Software Training

• Provides training in basic office/software productivity tools
• Provides training to the end user community in the hospital on various aspects of the SZHMIS Software solutions which are implemented

Development

• Creates & Procure new software applications as these are required
• Develops additional functionality, user reports, data extracts etc. as required by authorized users from time to time
• Supporting third party software products which have been introduced to the Organization – in a first-line support capacity

Administration

• Maintains liaison communication with the user community within the Complex
• Negotiates support and procurement agreements with qualified independent vendors
