Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, Lahore (SZMC) is one of the premier medical institutions in the country. It was commissioned on 8th September 1986.
Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex now comprises of 5 components:
- Shaikh Zayed Hospital (SZH) & National Institute of Kidney Diseases (NIKD)
- Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahayan Medical & Dental College (SKZMDC)
- Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI)
- National Health Research Complex (NHRC)
- Sheikha Fatima Institute of Nursing and Health Sciences (SFIN & HS)
Objectives
Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex has following main objectives:
- Treatment facilities at Shaikh Zayed Hospital.
- Development of state of art training facilities for postgraduate and MBBS degrees.
- Center for dissemination of knowledge of medical sciences and establish liaison with international centers for medical research and education.
- Developed research facilities through National Health Research Complex.
